
Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit Mental Health Technician

- Provide compassionate and welcoming support to patients upon admission to the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meals, and medication management.
- Monitor and document patient behavior, symptoms, and progress towards treatment goals.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Facilitate therapeutic group activities and individual sessions to promote coping skills and emotional regulation.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients by following all safety protocols and crisis intervention techniques.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the facility and governing bodies.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities.
- Continuously strive to improve patient care by staying up-to-date on best practices and trends in mental health treatment.
Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Behavioral Health Setting, Preferably In An Inpatient Unit.
Knowledge Of Mental Health Conditions And Treatment Modalities, As Well As Crisis Intervention Techniques.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Patient Population.
Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Responsibilities.
