As an Infection Control Nurse, you will work closely with our infection control team to implement policies and procedures, educate staff on infection prevention measures, and monitor and track potential outbreaks.   1. Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures in accordance with current regulations and guidelines.
  2. Educate staff members on proper infection prevention techniques and protocols.
  3. Monitor and track potential outbreaks and report findings to the infection control team.
  4. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with infection control measures.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify and address areas for improvement in infection control practices.
  6. Serve as a resource for staff and patients on infection control policies and procedures.
  7. Lead and participate in infection control committees and meetings.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current research and guidelines related to infection control.
  9. Oversee the proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment.
  10. Collaborate with the occupational health department to manage employee exposure to infectious diseases.
  11. Conduct investigations and report any suspected or confirmed cases of healthcare-associated infections.
  12. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to infection control activities.
  13. Provide training and education to new employees on infection control practices.
  14. Maintain open communication with all departments to ensure a cohesive approach to infection control.
  15. Uphold the highest standards of infection control to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License In The State Of Employment

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field

  • Certification In Infection Control (Cic) Or Willingness To Obtain Within First Year Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Infection Control, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting

  • Strong Knowledge Of Current Infection Control Guidelines And Regulations, Including Cdc And Osha Standards
