  1. Monitor and implement infection control protocols and procedures in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  2. Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement in infection control practices.
  3. Develop and maintain infection control policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and in compliance with industry standards.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to educate and train staff on infection prevention and control measures.
  5. Investigate and report any suspected or confirmed cases of infectious diseases within the facility.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all infection control activities and interventions.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current trends and advancements in infection control practices and incorporate them into facility protocols as needed.
  8. Respond promptly and appropriately to any infection control emergencies or outbreaks.
  9. Serve as a resource for staff, patients, and families on infection control practices and procedures.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infection control and collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients.
  11. Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters related to patient information and infection control protocols.
  12. Continuously assess and address any potential environmental hazards that may contribute to the spread of infectious diseases.
  13. Monitor and maintain inventory of infection control supplies and equipment.
  14. Collaborate with the Infection Prevention Committee to review and analyze infection data and make recommendations for improvement.
  15. Act as a liaison between the facility and local health department regarding infectious disease reporting and prevention.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.

  • Current Licensure As A Registered Nurse (Rn) In The State Of Practice.

  • Certification In Infection Control, Such As Cic (Certified In Infection Control).

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Infection Control, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Cdc Guidelines And Infection Control Protocols.
