- Collaborate with hospital staff to identify and address potential triggers for violence, including de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
- Train and educate hospital staff on violence prevention and management techniques.
- Conduct regular safety drills and simulations to ensure staff are prepared for potential violent situations.
- Serve as a resource for staff and patients, providing support and guidance in managing and de-escalating potentially violent situations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all violent incidents and interventions.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in violence prevention and intervention.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and community organizations to address violence in the hospital and surrounding areas.
- Continuously evaluate and improve violence prevention strategies and protocols based on data and feedback.
- Provide crisis management support and intervention in the event of a violent incident.
- Communicate effectively with hospital leadership and staff to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.
- Participate in hospital safety committees and initiatives to promote a culture of violence prevention and safety.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations related to violence prevention and intervention.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information regarding violent incidents and interventions.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Or Social Services Setting
Certification In Crisis Intervention And De-Escalation Techniques
Knowledge Of Trauma-Informed Care And Experience Working With Victims Of Violence
Strong Communication And Conflict Resolution Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations And Handle High-Stress Situations Effectively
