  1. Provide individual and group expressive art therapy sessions for patients in a mental health setting.
  2. Utilize various forms of art, such as painting, drawing, music, and drama, to help patients express and process their emotions.
  3. Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate treatment approach for each patient.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes.
  6. Create a safe and supportive environment for patients to explore and express their feelings through art.
  7. Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  8. Educate patients and their families on the benefits of expressive art therapy and how it can aid in their healing process.
  9. Stay current with new developments and techniques in the field of expressive arts therapy.
  10. Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines set by the profession and the organization.
  11. Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients and colleagues.
  14. Adhere to all safety and confidentiality protocols.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Expressive Arts Therapy Or Related Field

  • Certification As An Expressive Art Therapist Through A Recognized Organization (E.g. International Expressive Arts Therapy Association)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Setting Providing Expressive Art Therapy To Individuals Or Groups

  • Knowledge Of Various Therapeutic Modalities And Techniques, Such As Art, Music, Drama, And Dance Therapy

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Treatment Team And Communicate With Clients And Their Families.
