  1. Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and minimize potential risks for the organization.
  2. Oversee the identification and assessment of potential risks in all areas of the organization, including clinical, operational, financial, and legal.
  3. Collaborate with department leaders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies and make necessary adjustments as needed.
  5. Lead and facilitate performance improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of the organization.
  6. Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
  7. Provide guidance and support to department leaders and staff on risk management and performance improvement processes and procedures.
  8. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to risk management and performance improvement.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and organizations to stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the organization and legal counsel, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies in matters related to risk management.
  11. Prepare and present reports on risk management and performance improvement activities to senior leadership and the board of directors.
  12. Hire, train, and supervise risk management and performance improvement staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  13. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  14. Collaborate with other departments and teams to develop and implement organization-wide initiatives to enhance performance and mitigate risks.
  15. Stay current on industry trends and developments in risk management and performance improvement and make recommendations for improvements to organizational processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Risk Management Principles And Practices: A Director Of Risk Management And Performance Improvement Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Risk Management Principles And Practices, Including Risk Assessment, Mitigation Strategies, And Compliance Regulations.

  • Knowledge Of Performance Improvement Methodologies: The Director Of Risk Management And Performance Improvement Should Be Knowledgeable About Performance Improvement Methodologies Such As Lean Six Sigma And Have Experience In Implementing Continuous Improvement Initiatives Within An Organization. This Will Enable Them To Drive Quality Improvement And Performance Excellence Across The Organization.
