  1. Conduct comprehensive eye exams and diagnose conditions of the cornea.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with corneal diseases and disorders.
  3. Perform surgical procedures such as corneal transplants, LASIK, and cataract surgery.
  4. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in corneal surgery and treatment techniques.
  5. Educate patients on their conditions and treatment options.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
  8. Monitor and track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Cornea Ophthalmologist Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Residency Training: The Candidate Must Have Completed A Residency Program In Ophthalmology And Have A Valid License To Practice Medicine.

  • Fellowship In Cornea And External Diseases: A Fellowship In Cornea And External Diseases Is Required To Specialize In This Field And Gain Expertise In Diagnosing And Treating Corneal Diseases.

  • Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Ophthalmology By The American Board Of Ophthalmology Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Ophthalmology.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Diagnosing And Treating Corneal Diseases Is Preferred For This Position. Experience In Performing Corneal Surgeries, Such As Corneal Transplants, Is Also A Plus.
