
Core Lab/Molecular Pathology Manager

- Oversee the daily operations of the Core Lab and Molecular Pathology department to ensure efficient and accurate testing processes.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure quality control.
- Manage and train laboratory staff, providing ongoing support, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of test results.
- Utilize data analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay current with advancements in technology and industry trends related to Core Lab and Molecular Pathology.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Develop and manage departmental budget, including forecasting and cost-saving measures.
- Act as a liaison between the Core Lab and Molecular Pathology department and other departments within the organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues that may arise.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Maintain accurate and organized records and reports related to laboratory operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding laboratory services and results.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Molecular Biology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Core Lab Or Molecular Pathology Department.
Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Operations, Including Quality Control, Regulatory Compliance, And Proficiency Testing.
Experience Managing A Team Of Laboratory Professionals, Including Hiring, Training, And Performance Evaluations.
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Molecular Biology Technologist (Mbt) From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As Ascp Or Amt.
