As a Cath Lab Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in coordinating procedures and appointments for our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab.   1. Schedule and coordinate appointments for patients in the cardiac catheterization lab.
  2. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure smooth and efficient scheduling.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules for all procedures and appointments.
  4. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
  5. Educate patients on preparation and expectations for their procedures.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate resources and equipment needed for procedures.
  7. Monitor and manage waitlists for procedures, ensuring prompt and timely scheduling.
  8. Stay current with changes in scheduling processes and procedures.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  10. Maintain a professional and organized work environment.
  11. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  12. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  13. Follow all protocols and standards set by the organization.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and efficiency in scheduling processes.
  15. Attend meetings and trainings as required.
