As an Admissions RN, you will play a crucial role in the admissions process by assessing patients and determining their appropriate level of care.   1. Conduct patient assessments to determine their physical, emotional, and mental health needs.
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for patients.
  3. Communicate with patients and their families to provide information on treatment options and address any questions or concerns.
  4. Utilize strong clinical skills to accurately assess and document patient conditions and progress.
  5. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, in the admissions process.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient admissions and discharges.
  7. Communicate with insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatment.
  8. Coordinate with other departments, such as nursing units and discharge planning, to ensure a smooth admissions process.
  9. Educate patients and their families on the services and resources available within the hospital.
  10. Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure quality care and patient satisfaction.
  11. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address any barriers to admission.
  12. Continuously evaluate and update admission processes to improve efficiency and patient experience.
  13. Provide support and assistance to patients and families during the admissions process.
  14. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on best practices and industry standards.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, promoting a welcoming and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Admissions Or Related Field.
