We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Activity Aide/Coordinator on an as-needed basis.   1. Develop and implement engaging and therapeutic activities for patients that align with our mission of providing compassionate care.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create a well-rounded and diverse activity program that meets the individual needs and interests of our patients.
  3. Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients, families, and staff, promoting a sense of community and well-being.
  4. Create and maintain a schedule of activities, ensuring that all activities are planned and executed in a timely and organized manner.
  5. Facilitate group and individual activities, encouraging patient participation and engagement.
  6. Maintain accurate records of attendance and participation in activities, documenting any changes or progress in patient behavior or well-being.
  7. Foster relationships with patients, building trust and rapport to better understand their needs and preferences.
  8. Keep up-to-date with current trends and research in the field of therapeutic activities, incorporating new ideas and techniques into our program.
  9. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during activities, adhering to all safety protocols and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, providing information about upcoming activities and inviting feedback and suggestions.
  11. Assist with the planning and execution of special events and outings for patients, coordinating logistics and ensuring a positive experience for all.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and community organizations to enhance our activity program and provide opportunities for patients to engage in meaningful activities outside of the facility.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized activity area, ensuring that all supplies and equipment are readily available and in good condition.
  14. Act as a positive role model for patients, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle and encouraging patients to participate in self-care and wellness activities.
  15. Continuously evaluate and assess the effectiveness of our activity program, making adjustments and improvements as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience Working In A Healthcare Or Long-Term Care Setting, Preferably With A Focus On Therapeutic Activities For Patients Or Residents.

  • Knowledge Of Recreational Therapy Techniques And Ability To Develop And Implement Engaging And Therapeutic Activities For Individuals Of Varying Abilities.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Teams.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability To Work Prn (As Needed) Hours, Including Evenings And Weekends, To Accommodate The Needs Of Patients.

  • Certification Or Coursework In Recreational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Or A Related Field Is Preferred.
