- Install and repair refractory lining in ladles to maintain efficient and safe steel production process.
- Conduct regular inspections of ladles and identify areas in need of refractory maintenance.
- Operate specialized equipment and tools to install and repair refractory lining.
- Work closely with other members of the BRS team to coordinate and prioritize refractory maintenance tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and standards to ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and problem-solving to address any issues with the refractory lining.
- Keep detailed records of all refractory maintenance activities and report any concerns or issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of refractory lining and make recommendations for improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in refractory materials and techniques.
- Train and mentor new team members on refractory installation and maintenance procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coordination of refractory maintenance activities.
- Participate in regular team meetings and provide input on process improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Operating And Maintaining Refractory Ladle Walls In A Steel Manufacturing Environment
Proficient In Reading And Interpreting Blueprints And Technical Drawings
Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Procedures Related To Handling And Pouring Molten Steel
Strong Mechanical Aptitude And Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues With Equipment
