  1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on industrial equipment and machinery, including but not limited to troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing mechanical components.
  2. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules.
  4. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures while working on equipment.
  5. Utilize technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
  6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs performed.
  7. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to report progress and discuss potential issues.
  8. Continuously seek ways to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
  9. Identify and procure necessary tools, parts, and materials for maintenance and repair work.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and advancements in technology to enhance maintenance processes.
  11. Train and mentor junior mechanics and other maintenance personnel.
  12. Collaborate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  14. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.
  15. Represent United States Steel in a professional and positive manner at all times.
