- Operate and maintain the hot rolling mill to ensure efficient and high-quality production of steel.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other engineers and team members to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and technologies to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on mill operations and procedures.
- Communicate regularly with management and other departments to provide updates on production, issues, and improvement strategies.
- Develop and maintain documentation for equipment, procedures, and processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects to increase efficiency, quality, and safety in the hot mill.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of necessary supplies and materials.
- Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce production costs.
- Provide technical support and expertise to other departments as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Hot Mill Environment, Preferably In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Hot Mill Processes And Equipment, Including Rolling Mills, Furnaces, And Cooling Systems.
Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex Issues.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Abilities, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Work Collaboratively With Other Departments.
