- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose any electrical issues that may arise, and develop solutions to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical components and systems, including motors, generators, transformers, and control panels.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and departments to identify and implement improvements to electrical systems and processes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing electrical maintenance tasks.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and hours worked, to assist with inventory management and cost control.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in electrical maintenance to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and provide prompt and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to improve their knowledge and skills in electrical maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, and report any potential hazards or safety concerns to management.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to United States Steel's values, policies, and standards.
Ability To Read And Interpret Electrical Schematics, Blueprints, And Technical Manuals.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With Additional Technical Training Or Certification In Electrical Maintenance Preferred.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Industrial Electrical Maintenance, Preferably In A Steel Manufacturing Environment.
Strong Knowledge Of Electrical Systems, Including Troubleshooting, Repair, And Installation Of Equipment.
Familiarity With Safety Protocols And Regulations Related To Electrical Maintenance In An Industrial Setting.
