  1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and make necessary repairs.
  3. Conduct regular inspections to ensure all electrical systems are in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  4. Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  5. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete larger projects and repairs.
  6. Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  7. Continuously seek out ways to improve and optimize electrical systems and processes.
  8. Monitor and maintain inventory of electrical supplies and equipment.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
  10. Train and mentor junior maintenance technicians on electrical procedures and best practices.
  11. Communicate with management and other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks.
  12. Stay current on industry developments and advancements in electrical maintenance techniques.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Electrical Systems And Equipment: A Qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician At United States Steel Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Electrical Systems And Equipment, Including Motors, Controls, Transformers, And Distribution Systems.

  • Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Identify And Diagnose Electrical Issues, As Well As Develop Effective Solutions To Address Them. The Candidate Should Have Experience With Troubleshooting Techniques And Be Able To Work Independently To Solve Problems.

  • Experience In Industrial Maintenance: United States Steel Is A Large-Scale Industrial Company, And The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience Working In An Industrial Maintenance Role. This Includes Familiarity With Safety Protocols, Preventative Maintenance Practices, And Industrial Equipment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Safety Regulations: Safety Is A Top Priority At United States Steel, And The Electrical Maintenance Technician Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Procedures. This Includes Knowledge Of Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, And Other Safety Protocols.

  • Communication And Teamwork Skills: As Part Of A Maintenance Team, The Electrical Maintenance Technician Should Have Strong Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Effectively With Others. This Includes The Ability To Clearly Communicate Technical Information, Collaborate On Projects, And Work Together To Solve Problems.
