As a Cold Mill Finishing Electrician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the electrical systems that power our finishing mill, ensuring efficient and safe production.   1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment in the finishing mill.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on electrical systems.
  4. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the finishing mill.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory of electrical supplies and equipment.
  7. Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  8. Keep up-to-date on industry advancements and advancements in electrical technology.
  9. Communicate any potential issues or concerns to management in a timely manner.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, and production standards.
  11. Train and mentor junior electricians as needed.
  12. Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements.
  13. Adhere to schedules and deadlines to minimize downtime and maximize production.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  15. Represent United States Steel in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience As An Electrician In An Industrial/Manufacturing Setting, Preferably In A Cold Mill Finishing Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Electrical Systems, Controls, And Instrumentation Used In Cold Mill Finishing Operations.

  • Proficient In Troubleshooting And Repairing Electrical Equipment Such As Motors, Drives, And Control Panels.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Electrical Schematics, Blueprints, And Technical Manuals.

  • Familiarity With Safety Procedures And Regulations Related To Electrical Work, Including Lockout/Tagout And Arc Flash Protection.
