  1. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical equipment in the coated products production line.
  2. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations during daily operations.
  3. Monitor and control the performance of electrical systems to ensure efficient and effective production.
  4. Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions and breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  5. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to identify and resolve complex electrical issues.
  6. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on electrical systems.
  7. Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for electrical equipment.
  8. Train and mentor junior electricians on proper maintenance and repair techniques.
  9. Communicate effectively with production and management teams to coordinate maintenance activities.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and optimize electrical systems and processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Electrical Expertise: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Electrical Systems, Including Installation, Maintenance, And Troubleshooting. They Should Be Familiar With Various Types Of Electrical Equipment Such As Motors, Drives, And Control Systems.

  • Experience In A Manufacturing Environment: Working As A Coated Products Shift Electrician At United States Steel Requires Experience In A Similar Role Within A Manufacturing Environment. Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Maintaining And Repairing Electrical Systems In An Industrial Setting.

  • Proficiency In Plc Programming: The Ability To Program And Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (Plcs) Is A Crucial Qualification For This Job. The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Ladder Logic And Be Able To Diagnose And Resolve Issues With Plcs.
