Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to join the United States Department of Labor. As a Claims Examiner, you will be responsible for assessing incoming workers' compensation claims, determining eligibility, and providing appropriate compensation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative support, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities:

  1. Review incoming workers' compensation claims and determine eligibility.
  2. Calculate and provide appropriate compensation to approved claimants.
  3. Maintain accurate records of claims processing activities.
  4. Investigate claims to ensure they meet eligibility criteria.
  5. Respond to customer inquiries and provide information regarding their claims.
  6. Work with medical professionals to obtain detailed information regarding the claimant’s injury.
  7. Utilize computer systems to update and maintain client information.
  8. Monitor and stay current with changes in workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
  9. Provide administrative support for the Workers' Compensation team.
  10. Adhere to the United States Department of Labor’s standards and guidelines.
