  1. Develop and implement transportation plans to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods and materials across Union Pacific's rail network.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify transportation needs and develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
  3. Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  4. Utilize transportation management systems and other software to optimize routes and schedules.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to transportation planning and operations.
  6. Communicate transportation plans and updates to relevant parties, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  7. Stay current on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  8. Identify and mitigate potential risks to transportation operations and make recommendations for corrective actions.
  9. Work closely with other departments, such as operations and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of transportation plans.
  10. Participate in strategic planning initiatives to support the overall goals and objectives of Union Pacific Railroad.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Transportation Planning, Preferably In The Railroad Industry.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Transportation Regulations And Policies.

  • Proficiency In Transportation Planning Software And Gis Mapping Tools.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Develop And Implement Effective Transportation Solutions.
