  3. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the rail network, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  4. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and make necessary adjustments to transportation plans.
  5. Work closely with customers to understand their transportation needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  6. Utilize transportation planning software and tools to optimize routes, schedules, and resources.
  7. Communicate with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to ensure a smooth and coordinated transportation process.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with key industry contacts, including suppliers, vendors, and transportation authorities.
  9. Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate any disruptions to transportation services.
  10. Train and mentor junior transportation planners to ensure a high level of expertise and knowledge within the team.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Transportation Planning, Preferably In The Railroad Industry.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Transportation Planning And Railroad Operations.

  • Proficiency In Computer-Aided Design (Cad) Software And Geographic Information Systems (Gis).

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Stakeholders And Departments Within The Company.
