  1. Develop and implement transportation plans to efficiently move freight across the rail network.
  2. Collaborate with various teams within the company to ensure smooth and timely movement of freight.
  3. Analyze data and identify trends to make informed decisions regarding transportation planning.
  4. Communicate and coordinate with external stakeholders, such as customers and suppliers, to ensure effective transportation solutions.
  5. Monitor and track transportation performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  6. Maintain a strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
  7. Proactively identify potential transportation issues and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
  8. Evaluate and propose new transportation routes and methods to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  9. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  10. Train and mentor junior transportation planners to build a strong and skilled team.
  11. Act as a liaison between various departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  12. Continuously review and improve transportation processes and procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  13. Stay updated on industry developments and incorporate best practices into transportation planning strategies.
  14. Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the team.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Transportation Planning, Preferably In The Railroad Industry

  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Or Related Field

  • Strong Understanding Of Transportation Systems, Regulations, And Policies

  • Proficiency In Gis Software And Transportation Modeling Tools

  • Excellent Analytical, Problem-Solving, And Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders.
