  1. Develop and implement transportation plans and schedules to ensure timely delivery of cargo and goods.
  2. Analyze and monitor transportation data to identify potential issues and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to coordinate transportation activities and ensure smooth operations.
  4. Utilize transportation management systems and software to track and manage train movements, schedules, and resources.
  5. Evaluate and select the most cost-effective transportation routes and methods, taking into consideration factors such as distance, timing, and cargo type.
  6. Communicate with train crews and other personnel to provide updates and instructions regarding transportation plans.
  7. Monitor and comply with all applicable regulations and safety standards to ensure the safe transportation of goods.
  8. Identify and troubleshoot any transportation issues or delays, and develop solutions to minimize disruptions.
  9. Prepare and present reports on transportation operations, including performance metrics, to management.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Transportation Planning, Preferably In The Railroad Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Transportation Regulations And Policies.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Develop And Recommend Solutions To Complex Transportation Issues.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies, Community Groups, And Internal Teams.
