- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather data and information necessary for transportation planning.
- Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for optimizing transportation processes.
- Monitor and track transportation operations to identify issues and implement solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

- Utilize supply chain management principles to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and transportation providers to ensure availability and quality of services.
- Prepare and present reports and presentations on transportation planning strategies and results.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve any transportation-related challenges and improve overall performance.
- Develop and maintain transportation-related documentation and records for compliance and auditing purposes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline transportation planning processes.
- Train and mentor junior team members on transportation planning processes and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing transportation planning duties.
- Represent Union Pacific Railroad in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Transportation Planning, Preferably In The Railroad Industry.
Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Transportation Planning And Infrastructure Development.
Proficiency In Computer-Aided Design (Cad) Software And Transportation Planning Software Such As Vissim And Transcad.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Develop And Implement Effective Transportation Plans And Strategies.
