  1. Monitor and control train movements on the railroad network to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  2. Communicate with train crew members, track inspectors, and other relevant personnel to coordinate train movements.
  3. Monitor train schedules and make adjustments as needed to maintain on-time performance.
  4. Track train locations and update system records in real-time.
  5. Respond to emergencies and incidents on the railroad network, such as train derailments or equipment malfunctions.
  6. Work closely with dispatchers from other railroads to coordinate train movements across different networks.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of all employees and the public.
  8. Utilize computer systems and technology to track train movements, maintain records, and communicate with other personnel.
  9. Communicate with customers and provide updates on train movements and delays.
  10. Continuously monitor and evaluate train operations to identify and address any issues or inefficiencies.
  11. Train and mentor new dispatchers to ensure a strong and knowledgeable team.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and company policies to ensure compliance.
  13. Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and engineering, to resolve any operational issues.
  14. Maintain accurate records and reports of train movements and incidents.
  15. Provide exceptional customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
