- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on Union Pacific Railroad tracks to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Conduct inspections to identify any potential hazards or issues with the tracks and report them to the appropriate supervisor.
- Operate specialized equipment and tools to maintain and repair tracks, such as rail saws, spike drivers, and rail grinders.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures while performing track maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and complete projects in a timely manner.
- Monitor and report any changes or abnormalities in track conditions, such as cracks, breaks, or shifting.
- Perform routine track maintenance tasks, including replacing rail ties, repairing switches, and adjusting track alignment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on tracks.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Track Maintenance Worker At Union Pacific Railroad Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures Basic Literacy And Mathematical Skills Necessary For The Job.
Physical Fitness And Strength: The Job Of A Track Maintenance Worker Involves Manual Labor, Often In Challenging Outdoor Environments. Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift Heavy Equipment, Climb Ladders, And Work In Various Weather Conditions.
