Job Description

As a vital member of our maintenance crew, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our railway operations.   1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on railway tracks to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  2. Conduct inspections of tracks and identify any potential hazards or issues.
  3. Repair or replace damaged tracks, switches, and other components as needed.
  4. Operate heavy machinery such as track tamping machines, rail grinders, and other equipment.
  5. Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
  6. Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and address any issues.
  7. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  8. Monitor and report on track conditions, including wear and tear, weather damage, and other factors that may affect operations.
  9. Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations related to track maintenance.
  11. Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  13. Work in all weather conditions and be available for emergency repairs as needed.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  15. Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For This Position Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Math, Reading, And Writing Skills.

  • Physical Fitness: Track Maintenance Workers Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform Physically Demanding Tasks Such As Lifting Heavy Equipment And Materials, Walking Long Distances, And Working In Various Weather Conditions.

  • Previous Experience In Railway Industry: Candidates With Previous Experience In The Railway Industry Are Preferred For This Position. This Experience May Include Working On Track Maintenance Or Construction, Or Operating Heavy Machinery Such As Backhoes Or Bulldozers.

  • Mechanical Aptitude: The Ability To Understand And Troubleshoot Mechanical Equipment Is An Important Qualification For A Track Maintenance Worker. This Includes Knowledge Of Basic Tools, Machinery, And How To Read Technical Manuals.

  • Safety Consciousness: Working On Railway Tracks Can Be Dangerous, So It Is Essential That A Track Maintenance Worker Is Safety Conscious And Follows All Safety Protocols. This Includes Wearing Proper Personal Protective Equipment And Following Safety Procedures When Working On Or Near Active Tracks.
