- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize supply chain operations and improve efficiency.
- Analyze supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement supply chain strategies.
- Monitor and track supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Oversee inventory management and forecasting to ensure adequate levels of supplies and materials.
- Implement and maintain supply chain management systems and processes to improve overall efficiency and productivity.
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals to drive results and achieve departmental goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management to drive continuous improvement.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely movement of goods and materials.
- Develop and manage budgets and cost control measures for the supply chain department.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws related to supply chain management.
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
- Communicate regularly with senior management on supply chain performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Supply Chain Management, Preferably In The Transportation Or Railroad Industry.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Strong Understanding Of Supply Chain Processes, Including Procurement, Inventory Management, And Logistics.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Optimizing Supply Chain Operations To Reduce Costs And Improve Efficiency.
Excellent Analytical, Problem-Solving, And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Lead Cross-Functional Teams.
