  1. Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs for Union Pacific Railroad.
  2. Oversee and manage the procurement of goods and materials from suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  3. Monitor and analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, sales, and finance, to coordinate supply chain activities and meet customer demands.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality product delivery.
  6. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and prices.
  7. Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate supply to meet production and customer demands.
  8. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.
  9. Train and mentor supply chain team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  10. Stay current with industry trends and advancements, and make recommendations for process improvements and technology implementation.
  11. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all supply chain activities.
  12. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as on-time delivery, inventory levels, and cost savings, to senior management.
  13. Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
  14. Serve as a subject matter expert on supply chain management and provide guidance and support to other departments as needed.
  15. Foster a culture of safety and promote safe work practices among supply chain team members and suppliers.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Supply Chain Management, Preferably In A Transportation Or Railroad Industry.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Supply Chain Processes, Including Procurement, Inventory Control, And Distribution.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Supply Chain Issues.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And External Vendors.
