  1. Oversee all aspects of Union Pacific Railroad's supply chain operations.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  4. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  5. Maintain and manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
  6. Develop and implement supply chain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  7. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing teams to ensure adequate supply of materials.
  8. Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support to drive continuous improvement.
  9. Identify and implement technology solutions to streamline supply chain processes.
  10. Conduct regular audits to evaluate the effectiveness of supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement.
  11. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  12. Communicate regularly with upper management and provide reports on supply chain performance and initiatives.
  13. Ensure timely resolution of any supply chain issues or disruptions.
  14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  15. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the supply chain team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Supply Chain Management, Preferably In The Transportation Or Railroad Industry.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Supply Chain Processes And Systems, Including Procurement, Inventory Management, And Distribution.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Strategic Decisions And Optimize Supply Chain Operations.

  • Effective Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Team And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Departments.
