  1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry regulations and company standards.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  3. Provide safety training and education programs to employees at all levels, including new hires and existing staff.
  4. Collaborate with various departments to ensure that safety protocols are being followed and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Investigate and report on any safety incidents or near misses, and make recommendations for prevention in the future.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry safety trends and regulations to ensure compliance and suggest updates to current protocols.
  7. Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies regarding safety compliance and reporting.
  8. Monitor and analyze safety data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Communicate and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization, including encouraging employee involvement in safety initiatives.
  10. Provide support and guidance to management and employees on safety-related matters.
  11. Conduct safety meetings and presentations to educate employees on potential hazards and safe work practices.
  12. Collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  13. Serve as a resource and point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees and management.
  14. Participate in safety-related meetings and committees to provide input and assist in decision-making processes.
  15. Continuously strive to improve safety performance and maintain the highest standards of safety for our employees and the communities we serve.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Procedures.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Engineering, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Occupational Safety, Preferably In The Railroad Industry.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal And State Safety Regulations, Including Osha And Fra Standards.

  • Certification In Safety Management, Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih), Is Preferred.
