  1. Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks and make recommendations for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and increase safety awareness.
  4. Train and educate employees on safety procedures and protocols to ensure understanding and compliance.
  5. Investigate and report on safety incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices to continuously improve safety standards.
  7. Develop and maintain safety records and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  8. Conduct safety meetings and provide guidance and support to management and employees on safety-related matters.
  9. Monitor and evaluate safety performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  10. Proactively identify potential safety issues and work with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve them.
  11. Serve as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees and management.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to safety across the organization.
  13. Participate in safety committees and represent the company in safety-related meetings and events.
  14. Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
  15. Continuously assess and improve safety programs and initiatives to ensure their effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Safety Regulations, Including Osha, Fra, And Dot.

  • Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih) Designation.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In A Safety-Related Role, Preferably In The Railroad Or Transportation Industry.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Procedures.
