Safety Specialist

7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and reports for internal and external use.
8. Conduct safety training and orientation for new employees and contractors.
9. Provide guidance and support to employees and supervisors on safety-related matters.
10. Participate in safety committees and meetings to discuss safety concerns and implement solutions.
11. Coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies and emergency responders, to ensure effective emergency response plans are in place.
12. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and procedures and make necessary improvements.
13. Communicate and promote safety initiatives and goals to all levels of the organization.
14. Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure compliance with all safety-related employment laws and regulations.
15. Provide recommendations for safety-related budget needs, such as equipment and training materials.
