  1. Develop and implement safety programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  3. Train and educate employees on safety protocols and procedures, including emergency response plans and accident prevention.
  4. Investigate and report on any safety incidents or near misses, and develop strategies to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into all aspects of operations.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry safety standards and regulations, and make recommendations for improvements to existing safety policies and procedures.
  7. Conduct safety meetings and workshops to promote a culture of safety and encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.
  8. Monitor safety data and trends, and provide regular reports to management on safety performance and areas for improvement.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and safety organizations to stay informed on best practices and industry updates.
  10. Serve as a resource for employees, customers, and the community for any safety-related concerns or inquiries.
  11. Collaborate with HR to ensure all employees receive proper safety training during onboarding and throughout their employment.
  12. Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans for various scenarios, and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
  13. Conduct investigations and report findings to determine root causes of safety incidents and develop strategies to prevent reoccurrence.
  14. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety programs, incidents, and training.
  15. Act as a safety advocate, promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging employees to take ownership and accountability for their own safety and the safety of those around them.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Safety-Related Role, Preferably In The Transportation Or Railroad Industry.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Procedures.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety And Health, Industrial Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Safety Regulations, Including Osha, Fra, And Dot.

  • Experience Conducting Safety Audits And Investigations, And Implementing Corrective Actions To Prevent Accidents And Injuries.
