- Develop and implement safety protocols and programs in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Train and educate employees on safety best practices and procedures.
- Investigate and analyze safety incidents and accidents, and provide recommendations for prevention.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify and address safety concerns and improve overall safety culture.
- Stay up-to-date on industry safety regulations and trends, and make recommendations for updates to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor employee compliance with safety protocols and provide feedback and corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct safety trainings and workshops for new hires and existing employees.
- Analyze safety data and identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
- Serve as a safety resource and point of contact for employees and management.
- Communicate safety updates and initiatives to employees and management.
- Coordinate and participate in emergency response drills and exercises.
- Prepare and present safety reports to management and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with other safety specialists and departments to share best practices and develop company-wide safety initiatives.
- Lead and participate in safety committees and meetings.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Safety-Related Role, Preferably In A Transportation Or Industrial Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Safety Regulations, Including Osha, Dot, And Fra.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Procedures.
Ability To Conduct Safety Audits And Investigations, And Develop And Implement Safety Programs To Prevent Accidents And Injuries.
