- Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities to Union Pacific's assets, reputation, and financial stability.
- Analyze and assess the impact of identified risks and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate them.
- Collaborate with various departments within the organization to implement risk management strategies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in risk management to continuously improve Union Pacific's risk management processes.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate and report on risk management initiatives and findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as insurance providers and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and track risk management data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Facilitate training and education programs for employees to promote risk awareness and a culture of risk management.
- Participate in incident investigations and provide recommendations for preventing future incidents.
- Develop and implement crisis management plans to respond to and mitigate potential risks.
- Utilize risk management tools and software to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Act as a subject matter expert on risk management policies and procedures and provide guidance to other departments and employees.
- Continuously evaluate and improve risk management processes and procedures to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the field of risk management.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Potential Risks.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Risk Management, Preferably In The Transportation Or Logistics Industry.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal Railroad Administration (Fra) Regulations And Guidelines.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Findings To Upper Management.
