- Conduct inspections to ensure that all products and services meet the established quality standards of Union Pacific Railroad.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all quality assurance processes and outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any quality issues or concerns.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to ensure consistent and reliable product and service delivery.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in quality processes.
- Train and educate team members on quality control processes and procedures.
- Conduct audits of internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Communicate any quality concerns or issues to management and make recommendations for improvement.

- Uphold a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all quality assurance activities.
- Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure their products meet Union Pacific Railroad's quality standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the performance of quality assurance duties.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without sacrificing quality standards.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to management on quality assurance metrics and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For This Job Is A High School Diploma. This Ensures The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Math, Science, And Communication Skills.
Relevant Work Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Quality Assurance Or Inspection Role Is Preferred. This Experience Can Be In A Similar Industry Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Railroad Operations And Safety Regulations: A Strong Understanding Of Railroad Operations And Safety Regulations Is Necessary For A Quality Assurance Inspector At Union Pacific Railroad. This Includes Knowledge Of Train Operations, Track Maintenance, And Federal Railroad Administration (Fra) Regulations.
Attention To Detail: The Job Of A Quality Assurance Inspector Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail. Inspectors Must Be Able To Identify Potential Safety Hazards And Ensure Compliance With Company And Industry Standards.
Strong Communication Skills: Quality Assurance Inspectors Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Various Stakeholders, Including Train Crews, Maintenance Personnel, And Management. This Includes Written And Verbal Communication Skills As Well As The Ability To Document And Report Findings Accurately.
