As the Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our railroad, ensuring that our trains run smoothly and on schedule.   1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the railroad, including managing train schedules, ensuring safe and efficient train operations, and addressing any operational issues that may arise.
  2. Develop and implement operational strategies to increase efficiency and improve overall performance of the railroad.
  3. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  4. Manage and lead a team of employees, providing guidance, motivation, and support to ensure a high level of performance and productivity.
  5. Collaborate with other departments within the company to coordinate and optimize operations and resources.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, and take appropriate action to address any safety concerns.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  8. Prepare and present reports to senior management on operational performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Stay abreast of industry developments and trends, and make recommendations for implementing new technologies and practices to enhance operations.
  10. Participate in budget planning and manage operational expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.
  11. Serve as a point of contact for any operational issues or emergencies, and take appropriate action to resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Operations Management, Preferably In The Transportation Industry

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Railroad Operations, Safety Regulations, And Industry Standards
