- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods and materials.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any delays or issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as procurement, operations, and sales to determine transportation needs and develop efficient logistics plans.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and vendors to secure the best possible pricing and services for the company.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and laws, including customs and international trade requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, invoices, and contracts for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Utilize transportation management software and systems to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
- Proactively identify and address potential transportation and logistics issues and implement solutions to prevent future problems.
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including carriers, vendors, and internal teams, to provide updates and resolve any issues.
- Train and mentor new logistics team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success within the company.
- Stay current on industry trends, transportation regulations, and new technologies to continuously improve processes and stay ahead of the competition.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Logistics Or Transportation Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Supply Chain Operations And Logistics Principles.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, Dynamic Environment And Manage Multiple Tasks Simultaneously.
