  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting new hire orientations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files, including personal information, benefits, and performance evaluations
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs, including scheduling and tracking employee participation
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management, addressing any HR-related questions or concerns and providing guidance on company policies and procedures
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities, such as team-building events and recognition programs
  • Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, including conducting exit interviews and processing necessary paperwork
  • Provide support for performance management and employee relations issues, including documenting and investigating employee complaints and assisting with conflict resolution
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in human resources and make recommendations for process improvements within the company.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources Or Related Field: A Degree In A Relevant Field Provides The Necessary Theoretical Knowledge And Skills For The Role Of Hr Coordinator At Union Pacific Railroad.

  • Prior Experience In Hr: Previous Experience In A Human Resources Role, Particularly In A Railroad Or Transportation Setting, Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Requirements Of The Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Labor Laws And Regulations: Union Pacific Railroad Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And A Hr Coordinator Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Employment Laws And Regulations To Ensure Compliance.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Employees, Managers, And Outside Stakeholders Is Crucial For A Hr Coordinator, As They Serve As A Liaison Between The Company And Its Employees.
