
Equipment Operator

- Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed at all times.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues or malfunctions.
- Operate various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to, bulldozers, excavators, and cranes.
- Safely load and unload materials and equipment from trains.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and superiors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment or operational issues.
- Report any accidents, injuries, or incidents immediately.
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Continuously strive to improve equipment operating techniques and efficiency.
- Represent Union Pacific Railroad in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Experience Operating Heavy Machinery: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Operating Heavy Equipment Such As Cranes, Excavators, And Bulldozers Is Required For This Position.
Knowledge Of Railroad Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Railroad Operations And Safety Protocols, As Well As Experience Working On Railroad Tracks.
Cdl License: A Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) Is Required For This Position, As Equipment Operators Will Be Responsible For Transporting Equipment To Different Job Sites.
Physical Fitness: This Job Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Work In Various Weather Conditions, As Equipment Operators May Be Required To Work Outdoors In Extreme Temperatures And Lift Heavy Objects.
Safety Mindset: Union Pacific Railroad Places A Strong Emphasis On Safety, So Candidates Must Have A Proven Track Record Of Following Safety Protocols And Procedures In Previous Positions.
