- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage employees, customers, and stakeholders.
- Create and distribute internal and external communications materials, including newsletters, emails, press releases, and social media posts.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather information and develop content for communication materials.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media activity to identify trends and opportunities for engagement.
- Maintain a strong understanding of digital and traditional media channels and utilize them to effectively reach target audiences.
- Manage and maintain the company's social media accounts, including creating and scheduling posts and responding to comments and messages.
- Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company goals.
- Develop and maintain a crisis communication plan to effectively handle any potential issues or emergencies.
- Coordinate and support company events and initiatives, including employee town halls and community outreach programs.
- Provide support and guidance to internal teams on communication best practices and strategies.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve and enhance the company's communication strategies and processes.
- Maintain thorough records and document all communication efforts and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
- Collaborate with external agencies and vendors as needed.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Marketing, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Communications Role, Preferably In A Corporate Or Transportation Setting.
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Create And Deliver Compelling Messaging To A Variety Of Audiences.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite And Experience With Social Media Management Tools.
Knowledge Of Railroad Industry And Understanding Of Union Pacific's Operations And Culture.
