Job Description

UNC Health Care is seeking an experienced Supervisor Food Service - Dietary to join our Food and Nutrition team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the food service department, which includes providing oversight to staff, ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The successful candidate must have strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If you are an individual with a desire to make a difference in the lives of our patients, this may be the opportunity for you.To be successful in this role, you must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a health care food service setting, as well as a Food Safety Manager’s Certificate. In addition, you must demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the food service department
  • Provide oversight to staff and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Maintain regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism
  • Implement policy and procedures to ensure optimal service and quality
  • Manage the budget and analyze trends in order to make cost-effective decisions
  • Ensure all staff is properly trained in food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
