Job Description

UNC Health Care is looking for a Speech/Language Pathologist to join our team. We are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality of care, and our Speech/Language Pathologists are a vital part of this mission. The ideal candidate for this position will be a compassionate and highly experienced professional with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.To be successful in this position, the Speech/Language Pathologist must have a master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology and be licensed in the state of North Carolina. At least one year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, and knowledge of current practices and standards in Speech/Language Pathology is essential. The candidate must also possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide speech/language therapy services to patients in accordance with UNC Health Care standards and regulations.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans and progress reports for each patient.
  3. Monitor and assess patients’ progress in therapy and modify plans as needed.
  4. Communicate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordination of care.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care.
  6. Educate patients and their families on speech/language therapy techniques and strategies.
  7. Participate in professional development activities and pursue continuing education opportunities to stay current on best practices and evidence-based treatments.
  8. Work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

Job Qualifications

  • Current Slp Licensure In The State Of North Carolina

  • Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc-Slp) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha)

  • At Least Two Years Of Clinical Experience In Speech-Language Pathology

  • Demonstrated Experience Working With A Variety Of Populations

  • Proficient In Assessment And Treatment Of Speech
