
Speech / Lang Pathologist
UNC Health Care is looking for a Speech/Language Pathologist to join our team. We are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality of care, and our Speech/Language Pathologists are a vital part of this mission. The ideal candidate for this position will be a compassionate and highly experienced professional with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.To be successful in this position, the Speech/Language Pathologist must have a master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology and be licensed in the state of North Carolina. At least one year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, and knowledge of current practices and standards in Speech/Language Pathology is essential. The candidate must also possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech/language therapy services to patients in accordance with UNC Health Care standards and regulations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and progress reports for each patient.
- Monitor and assess patients’ progress in therapy and modify plans as needed.
- Communicate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordination of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on speech/language therapy techniques and strategies.
- Participate in professional development activities and pursue continuing education opportunities to stay current on best practices and evidence-based treatments.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology

Current Slp Licensure In The State Of North Carolina
Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc-Slp) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha)
At Least Two Years Of Clinical Experience In Speech-Language Pathology
Demonstrated Experience Working With A Variety Of Populations
