Job Description

At UNC Health Care, we are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care Bariatric Surgery team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional clinical care to our bariatric surgery patients in an acute care setting.To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid RN license and have at least two years of experience in an acute care setting. Additionally, you must be a self-motivated team player with excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Knowledge of bariatric surgery and related care protocols and standards is preferred.If you are a driven healthcare professional looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact on patients and their families, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional clinical care to bariatric surgery patients in an acute care setting.
  2. Ensure that all patient care meets established standards and protocols.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
  4. Educate and counsel patients and their families about bariatric surgery and related care.
  5. Respond to patient inquiries and provide support during stressful situations.
  6. Monitor and document patient progress and care plans.
  7. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  8. Maintain up-to-date records and ensure accuracy of patient data.
  9. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations.
  10. Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay abreast of the latest developments in bariatric surgery and acute care.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License In The State Of North Carolina
