Prosthetic Orthotic Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic Prosthetic Orthotic Assistant to join our team at UNC Health Care. Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of prosthetics and orthotics by providing accurate and comprehensive information to patients and their families.
2. Assist in the fabrication of custom prosthetics and orthotics, as well as the fitting, alignment, and adjustment of these devices on patients.
3. Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment plans.
4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team to ensure the best possible care for patients.
5. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of prosthetics and orthotics equipment.
6. Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols.
7. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.
9. Provide support and guidance to patients and families as needed.
10. Participate in educational and training activities to improve knowledge and skills.
