Pre-Admission Specialist

UNC Health Care is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Pre-Admission Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with patient admissions for inpatient and/or outpatient services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. In order to be successful in this position, you must have an Associate’s degree in Health Care Administration or related field, as well as a minimum of two years of experience in a related role. You should also be a strong communicator with the ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Assist with patient admissions for inpatient and/or outpatient services • Provide excellent customer service to all patients • Ensure patients receive the highest quality of care • Answer any questions patients may have regarding their admission process • Follow established policies and procedures with regards to patient admissions • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and staff • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient admissions • Monitor and report any issues that arise during the admission process • Collaborate with other departments to ensure patient needs are met • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and accreditation standards
