Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Collect and process blood samples for laboratory testing in a safe and accurate manner.
  2. Follow all safety protocols and procedures related to phlebotomy, infection control, and laboratory quality assurance.
  3. Utilize standard laboratory equipment and supplies for sample collection.
  4. Maintain accurate records of collected samples and test results.
  5. Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory personnel to ensure proper handling of samples.
  6. Assist in training and orienting new phlebotomy staff.
  7. Ensure that all patient information is kept confidential and secure.
  8. Follow all applicable laws and regulations related to phlebotomy and laboratory practice.
  9. Participate in continuing education programs to stay up-to-date with new techniques and advancements in the field.
