
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
At UNC Health Care, we are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team! Our ideal candidate should be passionate about providing excellent patient care, and have a commitment to continual learning and professional development.The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and image acquisitions, as well as the associated clinical and technical functions. This role requires excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and within a team. The successful candidate must have a current certification in nuclear medicine technology, and hold a valid state license.
Responsibilities of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist:
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and image acquisitions.
- Maintain current certification in nuclear medicine technology and state license.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to patients.
- Exercise independent judgement and problem solving capabilities.
- Document patient information in accordance with medical protocols.
- Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure the safety of patients and staff by adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in continuing education programs to maintain and improve professional knowledge and skills related to nuclear medicine technology.
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
- Perform quality assurance and maintenance for nuclear medicine equipment.
Bls/Acls Certification
Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist With The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt)
Graduate Of An Accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program
Knowledge And Ability To Operate All Nuclear Medicine Equipment
Knowledge Of Computer Systems And Image Processing
Commitment To Excellent Patient Care
Understanding Of Radiation Safety Requirements
