Job Description

UNC Health Care is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team and provide outstanding patient care. The successful candidate will be a compassionate and qualified individual who is knowledgeable in the field of nuclear medicine. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various nuclear medicine procedures, as well as providing support to physicians and other health care providers.To be considered for this position, you must hold an Associate’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field and have at least two years of experience in a nuclear medicine setting. You must also possess strong communication and organizational skills, in addition to a valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification. This position requires the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, as well as the willingness to stay up to date on the latest advances in nuclear medicine technology.If you are a compassionate and knowledgeable Nuclear Medicine Technician who is looking to join a growing healthcare team, then we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform various nuclear medicine procedures accurately and efficiently.
  2. Provide support to physicians and other health care providers.
  3. Maintain valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers.
  5. Maintain a high level of knowledge and stay up to date on the latest advances in nuclear medicine technology.
  6. Follow safety protocols and procedures.
  7. Ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  9. Assist with the training and supervision of new employees.
  10. Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
